Items may be returned within 30 days from the delivery date for a refund, exchange or credit. Items that have been opened may be accepted back at our discretion, however a restocking fee may apply. For more information about our returns policy see the information below.
We want you to be totally happy with the products you purchase from Instyle Hi Fi. If at any time within 30 days of receiving your order, you are not 100% satisfied, you may return it to us for a refund, exchange or credit. Items that have been opened may be accepted back at our discretion, however a restocking fee may apply. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of some items (such as earphones) for health reasons. Any items damaged due to reasons not covered under warranty cannot be accepted back for refund under our 30 Day Returns policy. It's the customer's responsibility to get the purchase back to us and associated shipping fees are not refundable.
Is my equipment actually faulty?
If the product you have purchased from Instyle Hi Fi has a manufacturing fault, Instyle Hi Fi can facilitate the repair or replacement under the warranty provided by the Australian distributor of that product. If the item is DOA (dead on arrival) or develops a fault that is covered by the warranty within 30 days from the delivery date we will replace the item immediately with a new one.
When starting out with any new piece of technology, it is of utmost importance that you read the manual and setup instructions to ensure you understand how to properly and safely operate your gear. Commonly we find that equipment is not faulty but rather is being incorrectly used, so please be sure to check the basics before returning your gear:
- Check leads, plugs and connections
- Read the manual
- View manufacturer websites for any updates on product manuals, features or firmware updates
Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law - The goods we sell come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. If you believe an item is faulty, you may have rights to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights are not impacted by the change of mind policy or limited by a defined timeframe. However the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period may vary by product (or service) depending on the nature of the goods (or service), the price paid and any representations made about the goods (or service).
Where you believe an item is faulty, it may be necessary to send your goods to the manufacturer or their service agent for it to be assessed within a reasonable period of time. If there is a major failure with the item, you may choose a refund, exchange or repair. If the failure is minor, the manufacturer will determine whether they will repair or replace the item.
Where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, Instyle Hi Fi will not provide a refund, exchange or repair.
Instyle Hi Fi will require satisfactory proof of purchase (receipt) before providing a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
Also please note, Instyle Hi Fi does not cover the postage or freight costs back and forth to the repair agent, distributor or supplier.
